What Includes: WSET Level 3 Award in Wines Study Pack In-person instruction from a WSET certified course educator All essential course wines & tasting glasses Access to recorded Zoom sessions and to educator through the sessions WSET Level 3 practice short written answer questions Exam fees Certificate & lapel pin This class will be conducted on a hybrid format of online (2 HR classes 3 times a week) and in person class (2 days intensive). In person class will be July 29 & 30. The times and specific online dates with Zoom links will be sent to you closer to the class day. Student is responsible to coordinate accordingly to pick up the tasting pack weekly before each class. We can also ship them. The final 2 sessions will be full time in classroom classes along with the examination. This is an intense course that requires time on your behalf in order to excel. Classroom time: 37.5 hours Private study time: 52 hours Advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine enthusiasts. We require the passing of WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or equivalent qualification in order to sit for this class. Course Information For individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines, this qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. You will also learn how to taste and describe wines using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach. She currently serves in the board of the NC Grape Council and works for the NC Wines Dept. of Agriculture The Level 3 Award in Wines examination consists of two parts: Unit 1: closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions and short-written answer paper Unit 2: blind tasting of two wines You need a 55% in both parts of Unit 1 and 55% across the two wines of Unit 2 to pass the examination. Pass: average mark of 55% – 64% Pass with Merit: average mark of 65% – 79% Pass with Distinction: average mark of 80% and above with no individual examination paper below 65%
