We will send email with pick up details) Access to recorded Zoom sessions and to educator through the sessions WSET Level 2 in Wines Practice Test Exam fees Certificate & lapel pin This class follows a hybrid format of LIVE Zoom Classes along with in person classes. The dates are as follow: May 15 via Zoom 6pm-9pm May 16 via Zoom 6pm-9pm May 17 via Zoom 6pm-9pm May 23 In Person 11am-5pm (exam to follow after class) During the class we examine the main wine regions of the world and their varietals. We learn in depth about winemaking techniques and options and all the things you need to move forward with your in-depth knowledge of wine. How to taste and describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®(SAT) – How environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines made from eight principal grape varieties – The style and quality of wines made from regionally important grape varieties, produced in over 70 geographical indications (GIs) around the world – How grape varieties and winemaking processes influence key styles of Sparkling wines & Fortified wines – Key labelling terms used to indicate origin, style and quality – Principles and processes involved in the storage and service of wine – Principles of food and wine pairing Assessment is though a 50 multiple-choice questions exam to be completed within 60 minutes. A 55% is required to pass. Study time 16 hours of delivery time with a WSET course provider (classroom or online) 11 hours of personal study and revision This is a fun intermediate course for those wanting to further their wine education or to pursue a new challenge. Perfect for those looking to enhance their wine education if also taking the Court of Master Sommelier Certified or Introductory course.
